Progressive, Conscious, Unique man seeking prince Hi. I'm Robbie. I'm 18 and will be 19 as of 11/20. I currently live in a northern suburb of Austin with my parents, however I will be leaving Texas forever and I will be settling in Minneapolis for the purpose of higher education at University of Minnesota at Minneapolis. I am native to Southern California. I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles and moved to Texas when I was 11 with my parents because Texas was my father's home state. After living in Texas for 8 years I grew to dislike Texas. I love Austin and Austin is my oasis, however I prefer a colder climate. I dislike Texas because I find a majority of the people in Texas to be unintelligent and uneducated. FYI: I don't believe that there is any excuse for being uneducated. I am of African origins and my family was denied the legal right to education and I am a son of white collar professionals and executives. An education is something that no one can take from you. Education is one of the most important things to me and I believe it is one of the most important things in life. Knowledge is Power: That is the truth. Homophobic remarks and sentiment are two things I really could care less about because I know now that all people who are homophobic are either one of two things: irrational or undeducated and many times both. Irrationality and Ignorance go hand in hand. However if you have more knowledge then people who are homophobic do, than you have power over them. Often times I make jokes out of people who are homophobic, because I can see how hypocritical and how stupid they really are. I am not only comfortable with myself I am proud of myself, however I try to balance my pride. Balance is something that lacks within the Western European American Society. Balance is one of the main elements in our dysfunction. Because of our lack of balance sex is abused and so are substances. I don't call myself homosexual personally because I don't believe that it describes me or others who claim the same thing accurately. I call myself two-spirit which is what my forefathers, the Native Americans (FYI: I'm also a significant amount of Native American) call homosexual male and females. The concept of two-spirit means that you embody the spirit of a male and a female. Whereas in Western Culture, gender non-conformity is considered an impediment in one's character in the culture of Indigenous Americans we don't understand the world as being black and white or full of polarities. You may be born with male genitalia or female genitalia and you may embody characteristics which are the opposite of the genitalia you have. In other words you would incorporate both male and female characteristics which is common among most gays and lesbians. Two-spirits were highly respected among us. Two-spirit (gay males) were medicine men, shamans, an healers, while Two-spirit women (lesbian females) were hunters and warriors. However two-spirits also did things which conformed to their biological gender including two-spirit men participated in sweat lodges. What we believe is that being two-spirited is natural. We believe that the Great Spirit (who Christians call God) communicated to us through dreams who the two-spirits were. In order to test whether or not a child was two-spirit we would have rituals. There would be tools on both sides of child, one symbolizing traditionally masculine work, one symbolizing traditional feminine work and whatever came most naturally would be key in determining whether one was two-spirit. We even would have ceremonies to institute marriage between two people of the same gender. I am seeking a committed, monogamous relationship which will eventually become a union. I want to meet the best man I can and I want to love him and regard him as the most precious of all things in my life. I want to raise a family with him and adopt girls from impoverished parts of the world. He must be grounded in religion and spirituality.
