My friends usually describe me as being genuine or the one. My friendships are important to me as they are my strength and my lifeline. I can`t imagine being able to function without them. I am not in a relationship and I am not actively looking. That is not to say I am not open to the possibilty, but whomever he might be has to be my friend first and be flexible with my current situation. I`m a graduate student and, more importantly, classes are demanding. I`m not going into debt for nothing! I do consider myself a feminist and a progressive liberal. Concepts of gender, class, race, body image, and sexuality are always there for my friends and I. I have serious problems how we currently separate gays and lesbians as butch, femme, straight-acting, fat, hwp, etc. It`s tired. If you-e from this mind set, then I am certainly not the person to hang with.
